Scan Cam

The Scan Cam is a homemade, DIY, mashed together digital camera. It makes use of a flatbed scanner as the sensor, a 3D printed lens body, and a single element lens. Light is cast from that lens to a sanded, scratched, and generally mussed piece of overhead projection film. These early images are from V1 and V2 of the camera. They mimic wet plate collodion in some ways but carry a slit scan aesthetic all their own.
